Diary of an Elephant Orphan, produced, directed, filmed and co-edited by Hermien Roelvert-van Gils, follows the journey of a little elephant orphan Khanyisa, who miraculously survived a poacher wire snare - but now she needs a family. Will a surrogate herd accept her and will they allow humans to feed her, her daily milk amongst them if they do?
This has never been attempted before with such a young orphan and we get a true account of what it takes to work side by side with these majestic creatures to rehabilitate a little elephant orphan.
